We are seeking to appoint a SENCO to join Langley Park Primary School (LPPS) to secure high standards of learning, progress and behaviour for pupils with SEND.

Langley Park Primary School (LPPS) opened in September 2016. The school has a caring and supportive ethos and is part of Impact Multi Academy Trust, a family of seven, soon to be eight, primary and secondary schools, all based in the London Borough of Bromley. Langley Park Primary School holds 7 core values at the heart of all that we do. These are: respect, passion, empathy, perseverance, reflection and wonder.

We work to inspire our children to be the best that they can be through effective role modelling from everyone who forms part of the school community. You would join a supportive and hardworking team, and we are excited about welcoming more practitioners who would contribute to what is already a special place to work.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an outstanding teacher with experience of working with children with SEND
  • Have experience of developing effective systems for early identification of need and monitoring of progress
  • Have experience of working closely with a range of external agencies to best support the needs of children with SEND
  • Have a strong commitment to raising standards
  • Have high expectations of all children for learning and behaviour
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team
  • Be able to manage time effectively and balance different priorities
  • Value the partnership between school, parents and the wider community

We can offer:

  • Excellent facilities within a modern building.
  • A commitment to a wide range of professional development
  • A supportive community of colleagues within the multi-academy trust

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to the school.

A copy of the Job Description, Person Specification and Application form can be found below.  If you are an excellent teacher who has a passion for learning then please apply by emailing your completed application to office@langley-primary.org.uk or contact Jo Hawker (School Business Manager) for further information on 020 8639 5300.

We are committed to equality of opportunity for all our staff.

We particularly welcome applicants from ethnic minority backgrounds as we recognise the vital contribution that members of a diverse team make to our pupils’ learning

The range of cultural experiences, differing viewpoints and role models this brings is essential in our Trust and we recognise the gap that would be left in our offering without these.

Impact Multi Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. The post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

We reserve the right to interview and appoint upon application so early application is recommended.
